INSTALLATION: (For the novice user)

Step 1 - Run the fnova1.exe program and install to your KA main directory

No textures will be overwritten!!

The Sound files included are John's TNG Fed Phasers.
I have included them for those who haven't downloaded his.
If you don't want these sounds just delete the files or delete the KA\Sounds folder

Step 2 - Use a text editor (such as notepad) and open the QBSHIPS.TXT file in the KA\SCRIPTS directory.
Step 3 - Add these 2 lines to the file:

F USS Equinox! EC2 = FEC USS Equinox
F Nova Class Science EC1 = FEC USS Nova

Step 4 - Save the file.


Note: The ship folder created is FNOV.
      This folder will not overwrite the original Fed Oberth Class EC!

Special note on Shields and Weapons:
------------------------------------

- Phasers fire 2x slower then normal but do double damage to simulate TNG firing.

- Photons fire slower on the USS Nova only

- Switching to defensive attack (F2) will overload the shields. You will notice the shields drop to 90% and charge back to 100%. The shields are actually becoming 10% stronger (10% more hitpoints). This is not a bug! :)
